Previous planning for 22 flats. Better scheme was large family homes (two

1970-1987 Cottages and Farmhouses
A variety of restorations in Norfolk, Kent and Devon. One of the more
interesting shown here 1971-6 of the remote Duchy of Cornwall farmhouse:
Stannon at Postbridge. In a very isolated position, it has been uninhabited
since before the war. With no amenities and necessitating a long walk, it
proved a tough but enjoyable low budget introduction to property
development. Peat was cut from the bog and outbuildings rebuilt by hand with
gathered stone.
